How we vet artist applicants:

The purpose of this site is to provide the quick and easy access of artists' commission information to private and commercial parties. We welcome any and all bookish artists to our compedium, whether you're big or small, young or old, new or experienced. We only ask all applicants meet the following qualifications when applying:

  • The artist must refer us to one or more of their social media accounts where they post their artwork.
  • At least one of these accounts must be older than 3 months and have a minimum of 3 pieces of bookish* art posted within the last 8 months.
  • The artist must intend to provide creative services for books* (or other bookish* products) related to the Young Adult, New Adult or Adult demographics inside the Fantasy, Romance, or Sci-Fi genres, and their account must reflect this. (So sorry, we do not cater to children's book illustrators)
  • The artist must not use AI.

* The term 'book' or 'bookish' refers to media that is dominantely categorized as a text printed original work. A media originating as TV, Movies, Anime, Video Games, Table Top Role Playing Games, Webtoons, etc that have subsequently published spin-off content as books do not qualify as 'bookish'. For example, Disney has many published books and novels inspired by their animated movies, but artwork of Queen Elsa is not considered 'bookish art' just because she exists as text in a book. Alternatively, the Shadow & Bone book series is not disqualified as 'bookish' just because it was later produced as a TV series. Please use this sensible judgement when considering what qualifies as bookish art on your account.

Applications are currently closed.

We appreciate the extreme interest from the bookish artist community, but due to the extensive process of vetting applicants, we are currently accepting by member invites only. We will have open enrollment at a later time when our moderators are available to process applications.

Please be patient with us. It takes volunteered time, energy and money to maintain this website. We don't charge to use it. We don't charge to be on it. We don't wear pink on Wednesdays.
